Her: Can I put on my pajamas?

Me: Sure, why not?

Preschooler puts on her pajamas.

Her: Is it dark yet?

Me:  No, hon, putting on your pajamas won’t make nighttime come any sooner.

Her: Yes it will!

I don’t even know why I’m having this conversation.
